Consequently, Tilena’s breeder was deemed 2002 Breeder of the Year in Holland. In this same line, Tilena’s great grandmother, Viola, was a full sister to the keur stallion Ulft.
Tilena's
dam sire, Nimmerdor, is noted by the Dutch as "the stallion
of the century. Nimmerdor was a preferent stallion that sired
multiple keur and star mares as well as keur and approved stallions.
The granddam sire, Amor, also preferent, had a tremendous influence
by producing excellent quality horses.
Tilena’s
sire, Freestyle, is a beautiful 17 hh Hessen stallion who received
a perfect 10 for character and a 9 for temperament. He received
a 9.33 for rideability and was the overall winner of his performance
test. Freestyle is excelling in dressage in Canada. Freestyle
is a son of the famous Rhinelander stallion, Florestan I. Florestan
I has taken the top position in the FN breeding values for a number
of years. He is famous for producing performance horses with a
very high rideability. In 2004, two Florestan I sons won both
the 5 and 6-year-old World Young Horse Dressage Championships
in Verden.
Freestyle’s
mother line is also of excellent quality. Tilena’s grandmother,
Paloma, and her 4 sisters received the award of the “Best
Family of Hessen” 4 years in a row. Paloma has also produced
two approved stallions, Freestyle and Flammengold. Paloma’s
sister, Patricia, was the best mare of Hessen in 1997. Another
sister, Pretoria, was the best 3-year-old mare of Hessen in 1999.
The youngest sister, Primavera, was 2nd at the mare show for 2
